| Hugh McMenamin
was born August 25, 1856, in County Tyrone,
Ireland and was from the city of Castlederg, and
Township of Edenreagh. Hugh was the last of James
and Anne's sons to leave for America.. |
He was married in
St. Mary's Church in DeKalb, Illinois in 1885. to
Mary Maguire. They reared seven children and
purchased a farm in DeKalb County. |
Hugh's emigration
(1881) was sponsored by his older brother Patrick,
who was already farming in the DeKalb area. Hugh
died in 1936 shortley after his 50th Wedding
Anniversary he is buried with his wife Mary, in
Mt Carmel Cemetery along with their three
daughters |
